Can we validate the toolhead before larger purchasing decisions?
Yes. We run long term pilot projects with clear success criteria so your team can validate throughput, part quality, and integration effort before scaling.
What kind of customer is the best fit right now?
Teams with strong process know how, technical ownership, and enough capacity for regular feedback sessions. We actively look for adaptive partners instead of pure transactional buyers.
How does the buying process work?
After an initial fit call, we define your target application, pilot scope, and timeline. Then we provide a commercial offer and technical onboarding plan.
Do you support integration into existing printers?
Yes. We support setup, first print profiles, and optimization together with your team so that the pilot reaches measurable outcomes quickly.
Do you offer service contracts?
Yes, we provide customized service contracts for professional customers. These include priority support, regular maintenance, and software updates. Contact us to discuss a package tailored to your needs.
What makes Toucan3D's printing technology different from traditional 3D printing methods?
Toucan3D's technology features innovative variable line width and an advanced heating solution, allowing for faster print times, stronger parts, and overall reduced energy consumption compared to traditional FDM printing methods.
What industries can benefit from Toucan3D's printing technology?
Our technology is ideal for print farms offering 3D printing services and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that want to produce parts in-house. Our solutions are designed to meet the specific needs of these businesses, providing efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality printing capabilities.
How does Toucan3D contribute to sustainability and environmental goals?
Our 3D printing process minimizes waste and energy usage by optimizing material consumption and production efficiency. This aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including responsible consumption and production, climate action, and sustainable industrial innovation.
How can your technology print faster without losing detail?
The toolhead dynamically adjusts line widths from 0.4 mm to 2 mm. Wide lines increase throughput on larger regions, while fine lines preserve detail in critical geometries.
Do you already publish benchmark numbers?
We share benchmark data selectively per use case. Public benchmark publication is planned once pilot cases are finalized and validated.
Which early applications are recommended?
A strong starting point is functional parts that are not directly visible to end users, where throughput and robustness matter more than surface aesthetics or very tight tolerances.
Is Toucan3D intended for very small models?
Very small and highly detailed models are currently not the primary target. We prioritize applications where variable line width can create significant throughput and strength advantages.
Which 3D printer models are you compatible with?
Our toolhead can be used with printers that support mainline Klipper, provided there are no major installation space constraints or collision risks in the target setup. For further help, contact [email protected]
Which Slicer can I use?
Currently, our toolhead works with PrusaSlicer and OrcaSlicer.
Can Toucan3D also be used in creative or art workflows?
Yes. We also see interest from the art market, especially where customers generate parametric G code directly from tools like Rhino.
